Sponsor a slate

The new community hall will rise up soon but we still need money to complete and fit out the building. A small group of us are raising that last tranche.

Could you sponsor a slate?

We need a total of 7,000 slates to make the roof watertight!

£10.00: will cover the cost of one slate and your name will be recorded for prosperity

£25.00: will cover the cost of 3 slates and for that your name will be recorded along with a personalised dedication

Why not commemorate a loved one, celebrate a christening, marriage or anniversary? Give one as a Birthday or Christmas present. You decide what your slates mean to you.

Your name, along with any dedications, will be recorded in the Book of Thanks housed permanently in the new hall. Each slate will be numbered and the donor or recipient will receive a certificate as a keepsake.

Covid-19 Pandemic

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought all local fundraising to a halt. We hope to restart in the autumn with our annual curry night. Planned events over the summer will be rescheduled to 2021.  

We await news of our bid from the Community Lottery Fund.  The coronavirus crisis puts unprecedented pressure on all charities and charitable funding agencies, and we must hope our project comes through the exacting scrutiny procedures. 

The ASTRA team continues to refine its plans for the new Community Hub building. We are ready to act as soon as positive news is received.
