What is ASTRA?

ASTRA Community Projects works alongside The Parochial Church Council, Parish Council, Milton Keynes Council, educational establishments and social groupings to help the village community achieve its aspirations and help make Bow Brickhill a strong supportive community for all residents across all age ranges. 

ASTRA is not just about heritage conservation . We have demonstrated over a decade that we really develop community activities in the local area whether that is fund raising, education or simply helping individuals develop personal skills and all whilst developing strong relationships across the community. To enable us to continue to do all of that, we need a modernised and fully functioning community hub. 

You can do so by bringing whatever skills you possess to the cause and project. We need a wide range of people who can help organise fund raising, participate in fund raising or just join in. Bake a cake, make jam, run a fund raising stall or sell raffle tickets.

If its something a little more administrative that would suit you, how about joining the ASTRA Committee?

All posts are elected each year at the ASTRA Annual General Meeting (AGM). If you can bring professional expertise say in secretarial, finance, estate management, property, building, then its likely ASTRA will grab your arm off!

But if its erecting a fence, painting, installing and or repairing electrics, tree surgery or even plumbing then be prepared to loose not just the arm but your whole torso! 

In other words we need YOU to take your place in the history book of our village.
