SECTION 1: MEMBERSHIP MATTERS
1. Membership of ASTRA Community Projects
1.1 ASTRA Community Projects is Subcommittee of the Parochial Church Council (PCC). For this reason the Treasurer of the PCC is also the Treasurer of ASTRA Community Projects. We are delighted that Andrea Spurdle continues in her role as our Treasurer.
All other membership appointments are the responsibility of ASTRA Community Projects subcommittee itself.
1.2 Election of officers:
Election of a Chair (currently Alan Preen)
Election of a Deputy Chair (currently Stuart Leeming)
Election of a Secretary (currently Nick Wagstaff)
1.3 Election of members fulfilling the following briefs. All to be appointed (re-appointments are permitted)
Public Relations and IT (currently Alan Ferguson)
PCC liaison (currently taken on by Stuart Leeming as part of his role as Deputy Chair)
Legal representative (currently Alastair Brooks)
Planning and Pre-School liaison (currently Elspeth Clark)
Buildings Adviser (vacant following Richard Norwood-Grundy’s departure from the committee)
Events Co-ordinator (currently Trish Wilby)
Specialist Grant role (vacant) (currently Nick Wagstaff is standing in)
Works (currently Duncan Summerfield)
Deputy Finance role (vacant) to assist with Purchasing, Invoicing, Payments and Budgetary Control under instruction from Andrea
Adminstrator to assist with minutes and general admin under instruction from Nick
2. External Adviser
ASTRA is pleased that Frank Morris acts as external Construction Works Adviser to ASTRA, and confirm that he is not a member of ASTRA.
3. Events and Fundraising Activity Group
There is an associated fundraising group to ASTRA that plans, arranges and manages selected local fundraising activities, such as last summer’s Open Village.
4. Honorary Patron
To note that His Grace The Duke of Bedford is our Honorary Patron.
